Visitors to the Meigs County Fair had the opportunity to learn about medication safety this summer thanks to outreach efforts from Ohio State University Extension in Meigs County. Using Generation Rx educational resources, Extension staff engaged both older adults and youth in conversations about safe medication practices
At the fair, participants explored age-appropriate activities and educational materials designed to increase awareness about the importance of using medications safely. Older adults received information focused on topics such as proper medication storage, safe disposal, and strategies for preventing medication misuse, while children learned key safety messages through interactive resources and hands-on activities.
